Darker Than Brown Meetup

OMG!!! These group of ladies are AMAZING!!! There are so many words to describe my experience at this meetup, so I will start from the beginning. As walked into the entrance of the Vapiano in New York City, I was greeted by a man at the register who handed me card and directed me upstairs. Before I got to the steps, I heard a pleasant "Hello!" echo behind me (I guess my hair gave it up that I was here for the meetup, LOL!!). There stood two beautiful naturals standing by the bar (without drinks) and I recognized one as Keisha AKA Ahsiek118 from youtube and I was introduced to Nneka (Owner & Organizer of Darker Than Brown).
Vapiano's was a GREAT spot. Beautiful atmosphere, the food was phenomenal, and the card (that the man handed me) was used to cover our own tabs (Love it!!!). I took my tray of pasta to the reserved area upstairs, met two more lovely faces and enjoyed my meal. After eating, Nneka and Keisha drew names from a bag to announce the winners of the giveaways (Sponsored by Shea moisture & Curls).  Followed by an evening or mingling and product swiping.

For my first meetup (alone), I have to say I felt so welcomed and I didn't want to leave lol. But, the evening had to end!! Great turn out ladies and I look forward to meeting you again until next time...

Growing up with a holistic grandmother I used to take my black strap molasses (BSM) in some milk (warm or cold, preferably warm) before bedtime.  It's full of vitamins and minerals, but was given to me for the soul purpose for it's iron content.

...But I was reintroduced to BSM during my hair transition.  Who would have thought it would be useful for my hair also?!

Amino acids are found in black strap molasses; which are the building blocks of protein, strengthening the hair shaft and reducing shedding.

Here is my pre-poo treatment using blackstrap molasses:

Recipes
1 Avocado
2 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Olive oil (oil of choice)
2 Tbsp Blackstrap molasses
